Welcome to my personal list of Free Survey Sites

Welcome to the wonderful (and confusing) world of online surveys. Smile

My name is Misty, and I'm no one special.  I'm a Stay-at-home-mom (SAHM) who found herself in the predicament of being unable to return to work after her first child was born.  Faced with the loss of one income in a two income household, I scoured the internet to find a way to pad our income.

My little girl is now 19 months old, and I've been doing online surveys for various sites for over a year now.  Some have paid, some I'm almost there with, and some were just excuses to send me spam.  After many friends have asked  me for the names of the sites that I considered worthy, I've decided to compile a list for them, as well as anyone else that wishes to take advantage of the work and time I've put into it (wish I had this when I got started LOL).

A few pieces of advice:

A. Set up a junk email account (try gmail or hotmail) as some sites that pay will send you spam.

B. Be prepared to spend a little bit of time setting up your accounts.  Most legitimate survey sites have extensive profile surveys (some of which reward you for filling them out) in order to narrow down the surveys they send you.  A little time spent when you sign up can save you hours of time later.

C. Sign up for lots of sites.  The average site will send you between 1-10 surveys a month.  It will take time to make your money (as some have minimum cashouts) and receive it (as most take 4-6 weeks for processing).  To keep a relatively steady stream of checks coming in, the more sites the better.

D. I established an individual folder in my junk email account for each survey site I was a member of.  Then, as I got a feel for who sent more surveys (which will depend on your demographics), I set up the account to automatically sort the high volume ones.  This is especially useful if you decide to sign up for SendEarnings or InboxDollars, as they send about 8 paid emails a day.

E. Occasionally, take the time to Unsubscribe from the spam you are sent.  Usually, this will reduce your email intake for about a month or so.  Just copy your email address (CTRL+C) and past it into the unsubscribe box.  I do this about once a week just to stay ahead of the game.

F. If you do not already have a Paypal account, you will need to sign up for one.  If you do, you will need to make sure you link your account to your new email address your using for taking surveys.

Last Update of Cash to Paid Sites

A Warning

Online survey taking is not a Get-Rich-Quick endeavor.  Any site that tells you so... probably a scam.  The sites I have listed here are all sites I have accumulated a pretty good amount of time with.  If not, I'll warn you, but probably still recommend them as long as they actually pay their survey takers.  In the year I've been taking surveys (with a six month hiatus in the middle of that mind you, so technically Six months over a year) I have redeemed over $250 in cash and incentives (mostly cash).  I dedicate about 1 1/2 hours a day to doing surveys, with two hours on Wednesdays as I seem to get more surveys that day.  That time is over the course of my day as I change diapers, feed my kids, clean the house, ect.  It may take you more or less time.

And I'll say this, that $250 has come at unexpected times, usually when my husband needs gas, or the baby needs diapers.  I don't know if it would be worth your while, but it sure as heck was for me. Wink
